The democratic party refused to set up a booth at the Lorain County Fair in Ohio because the board allowed confederate flags to be sold. In contrast, the Ohio State Fair did not allow the confederate flag to be sold due to the controversial issues. While some feel the confederate flag is part of history and should be available, others feel as though it is a part of history that should be forgotten.
