On November 9, 2016, the oldest museum, the Confederate museum, in New Orleans has suffered minor damage after a tire was placed in front of its entrance and then set on fire. The incident was caught on video, showing two people in baseball caps and hooded sweatshirts committing the crime. Authorities are unsure if this is related to the vandalism incident in which the words “Dismantle white supremacy” were spray painted on the Lee Circle monument.
