The Sons of Confederate Veterans have scheduled a rally this Saturday at noon in Woodland Park in Shawnee, OK. They expect hundreds of Confederate flags to be flown at the rally but a spokesman for the group explains that it is not because they are racist. He explains it explains the courage and valor of their ancestors and would not be perceived as racist if the Klan didn’t adopt the flag as their symbol. Townsfolk have expressed concern of disturbance that flying these flags may cause.
