To help close out the The Civil War Music Heritage Gathering and Encampment, a number of Civil-War Era musicians performed one last concert. Those who performed included The Balladeers, who have performed for over 15 years, Allan Brenner, who has drawn a crowd from as far as Cairo, and The Proper Ladies, who performed a very uplifting benefit concert for the victims of Hurricane Irene. Those involved hold the strong belief that it’s important to keep music alive, especially music from such a historic event.
