St. Louis could remove all confederate monuments, statues and flags in city parks

The city of St. Louis is busy beginning preparations to remove all Confederate monuments from display. Crews have begun to remove a memorial in Forest Park and working to rename Confederate Ave. to a more appropriate name. Even though the cost to remove the monument is estimated at $130,000, the heated discussion the past few years about what the monument and similar ones throughout the country represent as necessitated the need for their removal from public display.
