The University of Texas at Austin plans to remove four statues of people connected to the Confederacy. University leaders have determined that the statues are symbolic of white supremacy. At least one statue, of Robert E Lee, will be moved to the school’s Briscoe Center for American History so that it will available for those who wish to study it.
The decision was made after similar statues led to violence, and even one death, in Charlottesville, Virginia the week before. The incident became Donald Trump’s biggest domestic crisis so far in his presidency.

Good bye Longhorns. This is Texas, the capital is Austin, are you going to change that to because of a bunch of whinnying liberals who don’t know their history? I’m so ashamed of the university and the city , neither will get a another dime of my money. I guess I’m an Aggie now, God forgive me, but they seem to be the smarter bunch after all.How dare you let liberals run rough shot over everything this state stands for. Go take a history class preferably at a university that can teach the real history.
