Commissioners in Lakeland Florida will be voting on Dec. 4th on what to do about a controversial Confederate statue in Munn Park. Commissioners are split on their option to remove the statue or to keep it but add additional statues representing cultural diversity. Commissioners have received hundreds of letters and calls from the public, but will formally hear public opinions on Dec. 4th prior to the final resolution vote. Those with an opinion are encouraged to contact their commissioners and/or attend the meeting.
