
A bill is being considered in Alabama to prevent the removal of monuments that have been in place for at least 20 years. The bill, SB60, is seen as a reaction to recent removal of confederate monuments. SB60 was introduced by Republican state senator Gerald Allen in March and has already passed several preliminary votes in lower chambers.
