
The owner of Antietam Gallery hosted a weekend open house to give patrons to express views of an legislation put forward by U.S. Representative Anthony Brown, D-MD to remove a General Lee statue from the Antietam National Battlefield. Most of the expressed views were negative regarding the bill being put forth, with opposing views of the legislation of what historical relics like this were to stand for. For the most part, those in favor of preserving statues in public have the idea that they are to help all understand the nations history, good or bad.
