The city council of Alexander City, Alabama have made the decision to allow retired drug dog Carik to live with his handler. Carik is a drug K9 that has worked with Officer Ponder for years, catching dozens of acts of possession and use of illegal substances. Recently, however, Carik has been sick, prompting his retirement. Officer Ponder has promised not only the city council but the good people of Alexander City that he’ll take care of their aging K9 hero.
