Pea Ridge, Arkansas, not only saved Missouri during the Civil War, but the 4,300 acres were the site of a 26,000-man battle. The present-day park has a little something for everyone including the Elkhorn Tavern, a Junior Ranger program, and special programs and demonstrations – including live artillery firings – throughout the year.
