The Patriot Guard Riders (PGR) are a group of motorcycle enthusiasts known for their work to honor deceased members of the military, police and firefighters. Sometimes this means being invited to attend funerals, and sometimes it means escorting the remains of a service member from one location to another. In this case, the PGR are escorting the ashes of a Civil War veteran of the Union army back to his familial home in Maine.
