Vandalism of Confederate memorials is unfortunately not a new thing. It happens from time to time. People are sometimes offended by them because they feel they support slavery. They’re just part of history but people still dislike them. This is still a crime and shouldn’t be condoned. It should be punished like any other crime or form of vandalism.
