Confederate spy Belle Boyd’s flag up for auction

Belle Boyd was a teenage spy for the Confederate States of America in the 1800s. Union soldiers broke into her house thinking her family had a confederate flag inside. When a soldier used obscene language to her mother, Boyd shot and mortally wounded him so their house was put under guard. Boyd flirted with the guard soldiers to befriend them then gain information from them. After eavesdropping on a Union general, she relayed important information to General Jackson’s army and became famous for it. The flag she carried as she met Jackson’s troops is going up for auction for the FIRST time in the United states.
