Propel yourself through time and take a trip through living history by visiting Lexington Virginia and experiencing the Virginia Military Institute, otherwise known as VMI. With such notables as Stonewall Jackson and Robert E Lee as patrons and professors, VMI has a long and storied history. The parade grounds are much as they were 100 years ago and you can visit local battlefields where the cadets themselves as young teens were baptized in the fire of battle at the Battle of New Market.
