A group of supporters attended the Folsom Cordova school board meeting on Thursday night to defend a Sutter Middle School teacher’s decision to display a Confederate flag as part of a Civil War history lesson, and chastised the Folsom Cordova school board for forcing that teacher to retire as a result and for whitewashing the teaching of history.
