On Wednesday the principal of Linganore High School in Fredrick, Md confirmed that the school would no longer allow the students to wear the headdress traditional to wear at the schools football and basketball games. There are currently petitions both for and against the ban which. Some people feel the headdress is offensive to Native Americans, while many community members and alumni are pulling for lifting the ban.
