Although NASCAR in 2015 asked fans to refrain from displaying the Confederate Flag, don’t try telling that to fans in Talladega, Ala. Near the superspeedway here flags fly everywhere outside motorhomes and are prominently displayed by vendors. Race fans who display it say it’s not about hate, it’s about heritage. It’s about honoring those in the South who died in the Civil War.
