
In response to the recent demonstrations of White Supremacy in Charlottesville, there has been a growing debate over the use of the Confederate or “Rebel” flag. With the creation of the Abolition of Confederate Symbols Act legislators seek to ban the symbols from public property. This act will not affect the rights of individuals or museums and is limited to public spaces.
