Activists in New Orleans are outraged over the city council’s decision to remove Confederate statues. A resident named Richard Marksbury has filed a lawsuit in hopes that one of the statues will remain. At one demonstration, over 700 people (many of them waving Confederate flags) showed their support for keeping the monuments in place. The city of New Orleans has already removed three Confederate monuments.
