There was a recent dispute in Montgomery County over the display of the Confederate flag at a firehouse. Because the firehouse is sometimes used as a voting site, some people feel it is inappropriate to have the Confederate flag flown there. Some argue that it is anti-American and is intimidating. The firehouse has not removed the flag despite arguments against it. Some complaints have even gone as far as to go before the local board of elections.
