Two years after state legislatures voted in it’s removal from the statehouse, South Carolina’s last confederate flag remains in the same box it was placed in. There was supposed to be a permanent display for the flag but the funds were allocated elsewhere. Those who want the display are taking their case to the state government voicing their displeasure and even providing a cheaper option to display the flag.
