Lawmakers have privately discussed Confederate symbols and whether, or not they need to be gotten rid of. There were some southern legislators that met in private to discuss race relations and how Confederate symbols relate to them. The discussion took place on Monday during an annual meeting of the Southern Legislative Conference.
