VA Announces Plan to Restrict Display of Confederate Flag ‘At Any Time’ in National Cemeteries

Civil War Common Confederate Soldier Statue, Lexington, NC Dedicated September 14, 1905. Davidson County. Main and Center Streets.

The controversy continues in regards to the confederate flag in South Carolina. While one side strives to make compromises by not having the flag on any permanent flag poles at the cemetery, the other side finds no compromise acceptable as the flag represents hate and racism. As of now the flag can still be placed on confederate soldiers graves by private organizations on certain days.
