Nearly a year after the confederate battle flag was retired from the South Carolina statehouse grounds, there are groups still actively agitating for it’s display. A project named “Operation Retaliation”, a protest organized by the organization known as the South Carolina Secessionist Party is collecting replicas of that flag and says it will place those flags in various spots that they are identifying now around the state. They envision displays along major highways and in cities and towns.
