Hogg wild: The adventurous pirate from Cecil County

Even though there was no historical evidence to suggest that he actually held a military rank, Edgerton Hogg had assumed the title colonel throughout his life. This in particular was one of Cecil County’s great historical mysteries. During his youth in particular Hogg was a pirate for the Confederate Navy. In particular he devised a plan as a sympathizer during the outbreak of the civil war.
