Don’t be quick to destroy history — John Surinak

People should not be too quick to destroy the history of the country. During the 1500’s in Europe, many religious people destroyed works of art. Today, Europeans are unearthing as well as reconstructing the artifacts that were destroyed. There was a similar revolution in China where people burned things to try to cleanse the past.

Key Takeaways:

  • Europe witnessed “book burnings” in the 1930s by the Nazis in Germany where writings that did not agree with their political philosophy were eradicated
  • We are witnessing protests and removal of Confederate memorials by the left who have decided that they do not fit into their view of history
  • This purge of history by the left is now moving on to Christopher Columbus

“During the 1500s in Europe, the religious iconoclasts destroyed many religious works of art. Today, Europeans are unearthing and reconstructing the destroyed artifacts.”
