The Heritage Preservation Association in Danville, Virginia is awaiting a decision from the Virginia Supreme Court about the Confederate flag case. The HPA needs clarification on the state law when it comes to displaying the Confederate flags and monuments on government property. Judges declined the HPA’s initial appeal about the removal of the flag from a monument, so they filed a petition for a rehearing. A decision to hear the appeal should come by October.
