During the civil war, food was engineered for traveling soldiers to take with them. This successfully created evaporated milk and condensed milk. Not so successful was the coffee. Coffee was considered important for smart decision making and winning strategies. However, the Essence of Coffee was not very good and few soldiers could stomach the stuff.
