Author Earl J. Hess writes a book about Braxton Bragg: one of the most hated confederate Generals. Hess takes an unbiased approach towards understanding Bragg. He states that Bragg had great personal qualities but, many insecurities.
Hess wants readers so see Braxton Bragg in a more positive light. He points out, while Brag wasn’t perfect, he wasn’t always a bad guy.
