The likeness of the Robert E. Lee statue that presided over Lee Circle from 1884 until May of this year is featured prominently on the front of the coin alongside the statues of General P.G.T. Beauregard and Confederate President Jefferson Davis, as well as the monument to the Battle of Liberty Place. The coin is “stamped using a 3D mold to highlight the details of each statue” that has been removed, according to the listing on Ebay.
