Opponents of the Confederate flag flying along I-95 in Stafford County, Virginia left the public hearing furious after it was called off. Supporters of the flag argue that the flag is on private property and is “protected by free speech and is a symbol of Southern heritage”. However, opponents say that it is not protected speech because the flag is a symbol of hate.
